Scars and Souvenirs

"People have scars. In all sorts of unexpected places. Like secret roadmaps of their personal histories. Diagrams of all their old wounds. Most of our wounds heal, leaving nothing behind but a scar. But some of them don't. Some wounds we carry with us everywhere and though the cut's long gone, the pain still lingers."

"What's worse, new wounds which are so horribly painful or old wounds that should've healed years ago and never did? Maybe our old wounds teach us something. They remind us where we've been and what we've overcome. They teach us lessons about what to avoid in the future. That's what we like to think. But that's not the way it is, is it? Some things we just have to learn over and over and over again."

Favorite TVB show of all time - 刑事偵緝檔案

Recently I decided to start watching one of my favorite TVB shows from the 90's again, Detective Investigation Files (刑事偵緝檔案) 1,2 & 3 starring Michael Tao (陶大宇), Kenix Kwok (郭可盈), Joey Leung (梁榮忠)...even Sammi Cheng (鄭秀文) was in the 2nd one. The show was really well done from the story, acting, directing and the attention paid to the little details made you appreciate it even more, especially when it came to the police cases that they had to solve. It had action, drama, comedy, and it always kept you wanting to see what happens next. The first and second one were by far the best, the third not so much since I found they didn't finish off the series very well (I think it had something to with Michael Tao's contract with TVB ending at the time). The 1st theme was by Leo Koo (古巨基) and the 2nd & 3rd by Edmond Leung (梁漢文)...Anyways, check out the intros below.
